The assistant in the WordPress dashboard

Open Native AI → AI: the Assistant tab is the first. Ask in your own words, e.g. “Install and activate Advanced Custom Fields”, “Create a post type called Services with a Price field” or “Which plugins need updates?”.

It’s the same agent as the builder’s assistant, with WordPress’s capabilities: plugins, posts and pages, custom post types and custom fields, code snippets, analytics, reports and Native AI’s features. Designing pages happens in the builder.

Plugins#

• The AI searches WordPress.org’s plugin directory and prefers well-maintained plugins. It only installs from WordPress.org: no uploads or links.
• Installing, activating, deactivating and deleting a plugin always ask you first, with the plugin’s details.
• It won’t install a plugin for what Native AI already does: forms, popups, analytics, code snippets, custom post types and custom fields.
• Native AI can’t deactivate or delete itself.

What asks first#

High-risk actions (plugins, removing things, activating code) show an approval card with what will change, and nothing runs until you click Approve. Bigger tasks come as a plan to Run, Modify or Cancel.

Undo#

Every task is listed in Activity, where Undo reverses its WordPress changes: an installed plugin is removed, an activated one is deactivated, a new post type or field group is removed and a removed one comes back. Deleting a plugin can’t be undone: install it again.

The model menu picks the AI model (the same choice as in the builder), and each request uses credits like any other.
