Structured data and your business

The business behind the site and what each page is, told to search engines as JSON-LD — for knowledge panels, local results and rich results — plus social sharing defaults.

Every page gets one JSON-LD graph: the website (with its search), who’s behind it, the page itself, its breadcrumb trail, and what it’s about.

Your business#

SEO → Settings → Business: a company or organization, a local business (one of 40 types, from Plumber and Dentist to Restaurant and Hotel), or a person — with name, logo, contact details, address, map position, opening hours, price range, the area served, and profiles elsewhere (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, Yelp…). Every page names it as the publisher.

What each page is#

Automatic picks Blog post for posts, Product for WooCommerce products and Web page for everything else; each content type can have its own default (SEO → Settings → Titles & meta), and each page its own:

  • WooCommerce products get their price, stock, variations, reviews and brand (Native AI’s product data replaces WooCommerce’s own, so there’s one).
  • The Breadcrumbs element prints its trail; the graph leaves its own out on pages that have it. The FAQ element prints the FAQ markup.

Social sharing#

SEO → Settings → Social: the image pages without their own or a featured image use (1200 × 630 pixels works everywhere), the home page’s image, the site’s X username and a Facebook app ID.
