Global Blocks and saved components

Global Blocks#

A Global Block is a section you use on many pages — a call-to-action band, a trust bar, a newsletter signup. Every copy on the site shows the block’s current content, so changing the block changes them all.

1. Make oneRight-click an element → Save as global block (keeps the element and creates the block), or Convert to global block (replaces the element with a copy of the new block). Give it a name.
2. Use itGlobal blocks are at the top of the element library: search, click or drag one onto any page.
3. Edit itSelect a copy and click Edit global block, or open it from the Page tab. Publish it to update the live site.

Copies of a Global Block are outlined in purple on the canvas and select as one unit. Each copy keeps its own spacing and classes on the outside.

• Detach turns one copy into normal elements you can change there; it stops following the block.
• A Global Block can contain other Global Blocks, but never itself.
• Inside a Query Loop, a Global Block shows each result’s data — save a loop’s card as a Global Block to reuse it.
• Use Global Blocks inside mega menus to reuse a panel across menus.

Saved components#

Right-click any element → Save as reusable component to add it to the library under Saved components. Inserting one makes an independent copy — later changes to one don’t affect the others. Saving or deleting a component that contains custom code needs the Add custom code permission.

Which to use#
