What is Native AI?

Native AI adds a visual builder to WordPress — pages, templates, menus, forms, popups — and an AI that builds and changes those same things. Because the AI works with real elements, a design system and templates, everything it makes stays editable: select any part of it and change it by hand, or ask the AI for another change later.

The builder#

A drag-and-drop editor with 126 elements in 13 categories. Style every element per breakpoint and state, keep the site consistent with Theme Styles, design tokens and classes, and build templates that apply by display conditions. It includes Global Blocks, menus and mega menus, popups, forms with integrations, dynamic data and Query Loops, motion and interactions. See A tour of the builder.

The AI#

• The assistant in the builder: describe a change (“add a pricing section after the services”) and it builds it on the canvas with native elements. One undo reverts it. See Use the AI assistant.
• Design mode designs a whole page from a description, looks at the result and refines it. See Design pages with Design mode.
• Create Website With AI plans and builds a complete site — design system, header and footer, pages, forms, blog — after you approve the plan. See Create a website with AI.
• Site-wide changes (“make every button pill-shaped”) arrive as a plan you approve, with a restore point first. See Site-wide changes and the AI agent.
• AI also finds and generates images, helps with code snippets and writes report summaries.

AI features need a license and use AI credits. Everything else works without a license.

Optional features#

Code Snippets and Analytics are switched on per site in Native AI → Settings → Features. A feature that’s off doesn’t run, its screens are hidden and the AI can’t use it; switching it off never deletes its data. See Optional features.

Where your data lives#

Everything you build and collect — pages, templates, the design system, form submissions, analytics, reports, snippets and settings — is stored in your WordPress database and uploads folder, on your hosting. The Native AI service handles three things: AI requests, license checks and plugin updates. It doesn’t host your site.

Published pages are rendered by the plugin from what’s stored in WordPress. They don’t depend on the Native AI service: if it can’t be reached, or a license ends, your site keeps working.
