Settings reference

Every setting in Native AI → Settings, with its default and what it does.

Settings are in Native AI → Settings, grouped into Site, AI, Content & data and System. Administrators can change them. A save bar appears when something changes (“Unsaved changes · Discard · Save changes”), ⌘S saves, and it says Saved only after WordPress has stored the values.

Optional parts of Native AI. Switch on what this site uses: a feature that’s off doesn’t run, its screens are hidden and the AI can’t use it. Switching one off never deletes its data.

How the editor behaves for everyone on this site: editing, selection, the Structure panel, the canvas and the interface.

How the AI behaves, and what it knows about your business and brand.

Settings → Agent

How the AI works on bigger tasks: when it shows a plan first, when it takes a restore point, and how it checks its own work. Every change it makes is in Native AI → AI, with undo.

Settings → Models

Which AI models do the work. Each role only offers models that can do it.

Content & data#

Settings → Popups

How popups behave on the whole site: how many show by themselves, the pause between them, testing and privacy. Each popup has its own triggers, frequency and priority.

Setting	Default	What it does
Show popups on the site	On	Off: no popup opens by itself or from a link, anywhere (a quick way to pause them all).
Automatic popups per page view	2 (0–10)	The most popups that open by themselves on one page. 0: no limit. Buttons and links always work.
Pause between popups (seconds)	3 (0–120)	After one popup closes, the next waiting one opens after this pause, so they never stack.
Ignore frequency rules for editors	Off	People who can edit the site see popups every time, to test them. Visitors aren’t affected.
Popup analytics	On	Daily totals per popup: displays, closes, clicks, form submissions and conversions. No cookies, nothing that identifies a visitor, editors aren’t counted.
Don’t count visitors who ask not to be tracked	On	Browsers sending Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track aren’t counted.
Remember what visitors did in their browser	On	Frequency rules (“once a week”, “not after they subscribe”) keep a small record in the visitor’s browser; nothing is sent to the server. Off: they apply to one visit only.

Settings → Code snippets

Site-wide rules for Native AI → Code Snippets: logs and notifications. Safe mode, variables and each snippet’s settings are on the Code Snippets screen.

Log snippet errors and activity	On	PHP and JavaScript errors, failed API calls (nai_log()), activations and tests. Fatal errors and automatic shut-offs are always logged. Secrets are never written to the log.
Keep snippet logs for (days)	30 (1–365)
Email the site admin when a snippet is turned off after a fatal error	On

Settings → Forms

Defaults for every form: spam protection, uploads, emails, privacy and validation messages. Each form can add its own actions and messages.

Submissions per visitor per 10 minutes	8 (1–1000)	Counted per IP address, which is hashed and never stored.
Minimum time to fill in a form (seconds)	2 (0–60)	Bots submit instantly; people don’t.
Check submissions against WordPress’s disallowed words	On	Settings → Discussion → Disallowed comment keys. Matches are kept as spam and no actions run.
Links allowed in a submission	3 (0–100)	More links than this marks it as spam. 0 allows any number.
Check submissions with Akismet (when it’s active)	On
Largest upload (MB)	10 (1–512)	A site-wide cap on top of each field’s own limit (and your server’s).
Emails come from (name)	Empty
Emails come from (address)	Empty	Use an address on your own domain so emails aren’t marked as spam.
Delete submissions after (days)	0 (0–3650)	0 keeps them until you delete them.
Keep action logs for (days)	30 (1–365)
Save the visitor’s IP address with submissions	Off
Form analytics	On	Counts views, starts, steps and submissions per form, with no cookies and nothing that identifies a visitor.

Settings → Dynamic data

Which WordPress data dynamic data tokens can show.

Setting	Default	What it does
Advanced Custom Fields	On	Offer ACF fields as dynamic data when ACF is active.
Always allow these custom fields	None	Private fields (starting with _) and fields that look like credentials are hidden unless listed here.
Never show these custom fields	None
Preview templates with post ID	0 (0–2147483647)	0 uses a post each template applies to (or the latest post).

Settings → Data & APIs

Connect APIs once (a base URL and credentials, kept encrypted), then show their data anywhere: Query Loops, Data Tables, Charts and dynamic data.

Setting	Default	What it does
Requests per minute, per data source	60 (1–6000)	Busy pages share cached responses; this caps what the site asks an API for when caches are empty.
Largest response (KB)	2048 (64–20480)	Larger responses are refused.

System#

Settings → Permissions

Which roles can build, use AI, change the design system, edit templates, add custom code and manage the license.

Settings → Advanced

Debugging, caches, data and developer options.

Debug mode	Off	Adds HTML comments naming the templates used and render times (administrators only).
Allow PHP in Query Loops	Off	Lets people with the custom code permission write a Query Loop's arguments in PHP. The code runs on your server on every page view; leave this off unless you need it.
Preview display conditions on the canvas (experimental)	Off	Fades elements whose conditions wouldn’t show them to a logged-out visitor of the page you’re editing.
AI service URL	Empty	For development and self-hosting only.
Delete all Native AI data when the plugin is deleted	Off	Designs, templates, global blocks, settings and form entries. Pages keep their last published content.
